In a friendly game on Saturday, Japan thrashed Germany 4-1, handing the Germans their third straight loss. Germans struggled in the opposition half and ran out of ideas, which was evident.
Their errors and miscues cost them the game since Japan appeared well-organized and dangerous while moving forward.
While Germany continued to struggle in the final third, Hajime Moriyasu’s team was in control and the game was affected by substitutions.
In his own words, Germany’s head coach Hansi Flick, “ We’re trying everything to always prepare the team perfectly “
“ I think we are doing that well. Yes, I’m the right coach “ he continued, despite the team’s third straight loss.
Japan had complete control of the game and capitalized on the errors with two quick goals in the dying minutes scored by Takuma Asano
and Ao Tanaka which secured the victory for the Samurai Blue.
